JDM ENGINE ZONE warrants to their original buyers that each used item
sold is protected from defects in material and workmanship when properly
installed by an ASE mechanic and under normal use and service for the period
of time and distance to the terms and conditions as following:
I) Terms : JDM ENGINE ZONE at its option either to repair or replace the
defective unit only
a)
1.
JDM Imported Used
Non-Performance Engines: Three(3)
months and unlimited miles on the internal parts only from the date of
purchase. No warranty is covered on any attached accessories and parts such
as manifolds, carburetor, sensors, distributor, alternator, starter, water
pump, thermostat, clutch, flywheel, timing belt of belt-driving engine and
all seals etc. For details on what is considered non-performance please
give us a call or e-mail.
2.
JDM High-Performance Engines and
Transmissions: 30 day warranty is offered on
diesel, VTEC, VVTI, VVL, MIVEC, turbo, supercharged, high performance and
racing engines and transmissions. Only covers engine internals. Attached
accessories are not under warranty. For details on what is considered
non-performance please give us a call or e-mail.
b)
Used Non-Performance
Transmissions: three(3) months from the date
of purchase on internal parts only. Electrical switches, solenoid, wiring
system, shifting linkage and torque converter are not guaranteed. For
details on what is considered non-performance please give us a call or
e-mail.
c)
We do not guarantee that the
accessories and sensors will be included or that they work properly. Axles,
half shafts, motor mounts and shift linkage do not come with the engine,
but can be purchased separately upon request .
d)
All items other than the above
will be sold as is. No return, refund or warranty is offered unless
specified.
II) Customer's Obligations :
a)
Customer must install new oil,
oil filter, thermostat, spark plugs, coolant and tune up parts.
b)
Customer must flush and refill
radiator, change new water hoses, water pump, spark plugs, thermostat, oil
filter, oil, oil pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, and all seals
and gaskets that is necessary before installation.
c)
Due to the variations and design
on some models of Japanese version engines, customer is required to make
necessary changes over on some parts such as change oil pan and oil pick up
tube, dipstick, fly wheel, clutch assembly, distributor and smog device
etc.
d)
Customer is responsible to
re-install all smog device's.
e)
All belt-driving engines are
required to be installed new timing belt and set on right timing before
installation is done.
f)
Check and adjust valve clearance
and tune up.
g)
h)
Customer is responsible to verify
parts for fitness, proper size and application prior to installation. We
assume no liability for parts incorrectly installed as the result of errors
in ordering.
Engine and transmission's must
be installed and ran in warranty timeframe from date on invoice, 3 month
non-performance, 30 day performance.
III) Limitations :
This warranty shall not apply to or include any of the following:
a)
Repair or replacement as a
result of any accident, misuse, collision, upset, fire, negligence,
alteration, racing and competition events that will cause over reving or
over boosting, improper installation or repair.
b)
Labor cost, downtime, towing
charges, freight charges, rental and comprehensive insurance claims etc.
c)
Oil leaks, blown head gasket and
overheating due to poor cooling system.
d)
Bent valves, lock up or back
fire due to broken timing belt or wrong timing set. New timing must be
installed on all belt-driving engines before installation.
e)
Internal damage caused by
dropping obstacles into combustion chambers.
IV ) Shipping, Delivery And Pick
Up From/On Our Premise:
a)
JDM ENGINE ZONE has a very strict shipping
policy that involves your engine and or transmission to be put on a skid,
strapped down securely, and wrapped in cellophane to protect it from the
elements. We are not responsible for damages that can be cause by
mishandling of our freight carrier. Any loss or damage in shipping should
be filed and claimed directly through the freight carrier. We assume no
responsibility for any loss, damage, freight cost and miscellaneous charges
once your shipment leaves our facility.
b)
Loading and unloading on our
premises is done for customer's courtesy. We assume no responsibility for
any loss or damage to customer's vehicles.
